Braitenberg vehicle
In the book; Vehicles: Experiments in Synthetic Psychology, Valentino Braitenberg describes simple behaviour based robots from a psychologist's point of view. Some of these robots are simple enough to make with just a few analog electronic components. One of these robots is the classic light following robot. I made this robot for a robotics summer course. The robot needed to be; simple, cheap, composed of analog electronic components only (no programming needed) and capable of interacting with other robots. Instructor guidelines to make and use the robots are here. My version can also be made to move away from light with the use of a DPDT switch.
